Isaiah 9:2 -The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned.

TOO MUCH!

In our home, we live in a semi-controlled zoo. We co-exist with 2 dogs, 2 cats, (2 gerbils— oops...nature downsized that twosome recently), 2 teenagers, 2 parents and sometimes just too much! The kids enjoy creating additional chaos by agitating the  animals so that we do not “let sleeping dogs lie.” One automatic commotion generator is opening the drawer and scrambling through all of the pens, pencils, etc. with the anticipation of retrieving a LASER light pointer that sets Buoy (our English Springer Spaniel) on high alert with a resolve to capture the red light prize that will soon be locked in his sight. He will chase the LASER light up and down the stairs, up and down hills at night, and sometimes into walls and doors, although he usually applies the doggy brakes quickly enough that we crack up laughing at his amazing body control. When he snatches the light that very last time (when we run out of energy—not the dog), we praise him exuberantly. Buoy is so proud of his “tasteless” accomplishment. What dogged determination! Although our lives are often filled with too much, this is a good example of how God would have us seek His light. Oh to seek the Lord with such a passion! Now that would NOT be TOO MUCH!
