Mary Resler

Mary Resler, Minister of Music

Mary joined the staff of First Church in September of 1970 and is beginning her 42nd year in that position.  She is married to Gordon Resler who has been a tax preparer and consultant in Noblesville since 1971.  They have two children:  Angie Labinowicz, Director of Vocal Music at Noblesville High School and Ben Resler, who is a partner in Resler's Tax Service, Inc., and also works at Hamilton County Lawn Care, LLC. 

 Mary grew up in Brazil Indiana and Gordon in Princeton where Mary got her first teaching position.  She taught public school music for 16 years, 11 of which were in Noblesville.

Education:

Mary has a Master's degree in Choral and Instrumental Music from Indiana State University. 

Favorite Bible Verse:

Psalm 96: “Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! Sing to the Lord, all the earth.  Sing to the Lord, bless His name; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.  Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all people.”

Hobbies/Interests:

Mary enjoys flower gardening, traveling, producing music for others to enjoy, and playing with grandson, Jakub. 

Why do you do what you do?

“Because music has been my life since I played a piano recital at age 4.  And I think it's what God wants me to do.”
