New to First? (F.A.Q.)

We are glad you are interested in community life at Noblesville First United Methodist Church!  Below are some answers to a few commonly asked questions.  We hope to see you soon!

Where are you located?

Noblesville First United Methodist Church is located at 2051 Monument Street between Noblesville High School and Noblesville Middle School.  Click here for directions. (Link to Google Maps)

Where should I enter the building for worship?

For 8:15 Worship in the Sanctuary enter Door #1 on the East side of the building.

For 9:30 Worship in Celebration Hall enter Door #2 or Door #7 on the north or south side of the building.

For 11:00 Worship in Celebration Hall enter Door #2 or Door #7 on the north or south side of the building.

How do people normally dress for worship at First Church?

A mix of everything from jeans and t-shirts to suits and dresses.  Casual school or office dress is most common.

Will anyone make me stand to be recognized in worship?

We believe the moment you walk through the door you are part of the family of God here at First Church.  We want you to feel at home and we will do nothing to bring you any sense of discomfort like pointing you out or asking you to stand in worship.

Do you provide childcare during worship?

We do provide childcare at the 9:30 and 11:00am worship services. The nursery is located in the Atrium area of the building on the lower level.  There is also Children’s Sunday School for Preschool through High School Students at 9:30am on Sunday mornings.

Will Communion be Served?

We offer communion on the first Sunday of each month.  It is offered by intinction – simply dipping a small piece of bread into the common cup and eating it.  Everyone who desires to know more of God's love is welcome to receive communion.  In the United Methodist Church we have an "open table" which means there are no church membership or age restrictions for receiving communion. In our tradition, we use unfermented grape juice for communion.  Elements for those with gluten, egg, wheat, or dairy allergies are available.

What are the basic beliefs of your church?

The United Methodist Church is mainline protestant denomination that places primary emphasis on the word of God revealed in Scripture.

When I get inside the church, is there a place I can get additional questions answered?

We have an information booth outside of each worship area where you may find answers to your questions and a special information packet just for visitors.  We look forward to seeing you soon!
